Top 2: Online Event Management and Online Interior Design Courses

Happy to have online event management course and interior design course topping the popularity charts this season. Both the courses have been a hit with e-learners since quite some time, but they’ve done still better this time around. Here I am providing information on the two courses and answering some basic questions frequenting the minds of most e-learners at pre-enrolment stage.

The course for event management commences with answering some basic questions-

What is event management ?,

What is the aptitude and skill set required to make a career in event management?

Examples of store launches, mall events, corporate events (fashion shows, talent hunts, etc.) are explained. The reader is taken through the various stages of event management, right from strategizing, event conceptualization, event planning and budgeting, event marketing and event execution. Technicalities of each step are explained and some project management techniques like GANTT charts are taught. Hands on industry specific tips, stress on practice assignments at the end of each session and ease of learning help Easygyan differentiate itself from other event management institutes in India.

The online interior design course aims at taking a student right from square one (where she is completely new to the subject) to a level wherein she/ he can start with taking up the subject professionally as a job/ business. It consists of an introductory module and four other modules. The introductory module aims at igniting inquisitiveness for design and building upon one’s innate design sense. It questions the reader about interior design ideas for one’s own home or commercial properties. The course then moves on to technical aspects such as how to take a project brief and post brief actionables. Basic interior styles prevalent across the globe, and color concepts are taught. Throughout the course, focus is on equipping the learner with professional know-how but encouraging her/ him to think/ create/ brainstorm.

Making basic interior drawings, site measurements, fabrics for interiors and choice of fittings and fixtures are the main theme for Module II. The learner is made to practice interior design ideas at each step.

In Module III, iInterior drawings and technical know-how about ceilings, floorings, RCP, and electrical fittings are explained. Tips for best results and commonly made errors are discussed. As assignments the learner is made to practice making drawings (with supporting photographs), and provide solutions to issues involving change of interiors.

The IVth and last module of the online design course takes up the subject of planning to set up one’s own interior design business. The learner is taught practical aspects like how to make a project file, how to finalize contractors and then getting started with the business along with its marketing and financial management. This is followed by basic material knowledge including plywood, wood, lamination, MDF, paints for interiors and exteriors, and transparent finishes. The student is then made to practice by making her own interior designing business plan (in PowerPoint) and research information about various brands of materials and fittings.
